Blogger Tutorial 1: Creating your blog.

Welcome to Web Whiz! You have seen blogs, you have followed blogs, and now you have something important to share and you want to start your own blog. Where to start? In this tutorial we will show you how to create your blog using Google Blogger.

 

 

 

If you don’t want to watch the tutorial, here is a list of what you have to do to start your blog.

 

  1. Go to www.blogger.com .
  2. If you don’t have a Google account you will have to make one. If you do have an account sign in to the website.
  3. Once you are signed in, you will have to create your blogger account. There should just be a few questions like verifying who you are.
  4. Click on Create Your Blog.
  5. You should come to Name your blog. If this is your first blog then there may be a step before Name your blog. Just enter the required information and you should come to Name your blog.
  6. Type in your blog title and then register a url. You are going to have to choose a url that is not already taken. In order to know if you can use a url, just click on check availability. The last part of this page is word verification. You are going to have to type in the randomly generated letters which appear. Click Continue.
  7. Next you can choose a template. There are quite a few to choose from, but if you don’t like any of them, rest assured, they can be changed later. Click Continue.
  8. Your blog has finally been created!
  9. Click Start Blogging.
  10. Click view blog to see what you have created.
  11. Click New Post.
  12. Type up a title on the top text box, and in the second text box, type up the body of your post.
  13. Click Publish Post.
  14. Click View Post.

You now have a blog and the ability to make posts. Congratulations and thank you for reading Web Whiz.
